YAB Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Ahmad Samsuri bin Mokhtar is the Menteri Besar of Terengganu, Kemaman Parliament Member and the State Assemblyman for Ru Rendang State Constituency in Terengganu. As of 12th July 2018, he was appointed as Chairman of Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation Board of Directors.
Prior to his history of serving the state government of Terengganu, YAB Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Ahmad Samsuri was Head of the Aeronautical Faculty at University Putra Malaysia as an Associate Professor with over a decade of experience as an engineering academician and researcher.
YAB Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Ahmad Samsuri holds a Ph.D. from the University of Leeds (UK) in Aeroengine Ignition and Combustion, High Altitude Engine Failure, from its School of Mechanical Engineering.
YB Dato’ Nara Setia is currently the State Secretary of Terengganu. Prior to this appointment, he was the State Financial Officer from 9 July 2023 until 5 November 2024.
YB Dato’ Nara Setia joined the Terengganu Civil Service in 1991. He started as a land administration assistant in Dungun Land Office and Assistant District Officer in Dungun District Office. He then continued his service with the State Secretary’s Office under various portfolios with a diverse range of responsibilities and progressed to the position he holds now.
In 2011, YB Dato’ Nara Setia was appointed as the Yang DiPertua of Marang District Council for nearly three (3) years before his appointment as the Secretary to Terengganu State Legislative Assembly and Deputy Director of Terengganu State Economic Planning Unit.
He then assumed the role of the District Officer of Kuala Terengganu in early 2019 and later as the Comptroller of the Royal Household (Dato’ Pengelola Bijaya DiRaja) at Istana Syarqiyyah until early 2022.
Dato’ Tun Ahmad Faisal bin Tun Abdul Razak joined the Board of Directors of Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation on 1st April 2024. He currently serves as Deputy Secretary of Government (Development) and Director of Terengganu State Economic Planning Unit.
His substantial experience in business administration and finance has made him highly competent in the fundamental areas of the business sector including long-run economic growth.
Dato’ Tun Ahmad Faisal possesses a Master of Business Administration from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) and Bachelor Degree Business Administration from Wisconsin University, USA.
YB Datuk Haji Ahmad Amzad bin Mohamed @ Hashim joined the Board of Directors of Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation on 12th July 2018. He currently serves as Chairman of Norstar Technology Sdn. Bhd. which deals mainly in machinery and engineering. As a parliament member, he also holds leadership roles in various civic and social organizations.
Prior to his current roles, he was the Managing Director of MSET Building Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (from 1997-2004), Director of MSET Engineering Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (in 2006), Executive Director of Crucial Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (in 2007) and the Chairman of Segar Ternak Sdn. Bhd (in 2007). YB Datuk Haji Ahmad Amzad graduated from University Kebangsaan Malaysia with a Bachelor’s Degree (with Honours) in Accounting in 1995.
Dato’ Haji Burhanuddin Hilmi bin Mohamed @ Harun joined the Board of Directors of Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation on 25th of October 2018.
Currently, he also serves as the Terengganu Inc President and Group Chief Executive Officer Haji Burhanuddin Hilmi Mohamed @ Harun and Independent Non-Executive Director of TDM Berhad. With over 25 years of experience in auditing, consulting, and chief finance roles, he is well-versed in handling senior-level international business negotiation and is more than capable in overseeing all aspects of business operations, finance, sales and administration.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leeds (UK) and received his Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) from International Islamic University (MY). Additionally, he is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia and a Chartered Accountant (CA) with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
YB. Ir. Ts. Haji Khairil Nizam bin Khirudin joined the Board of Directors of Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation on 1st April 2024. He has also been the Lead Integrity Engineer and OSR Inspector PV/Crane at Talisman Malaysia Limited and REPSOL Oil and Gas Malaysia Limited.
With over two decades of working with oil and gas sector, he is well-versed in handling international negotiations at the highest levels, constantly leveraging his expertise in business streamlining and execution.
YB. Ir. Ts. Haji Khairil Nizam holds a BEng. (HONS) Mechanical Engineering and MSc Asset Maintenance and Management from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
