Konsortium Pelabuhan Kemaman Sdn Bhd (KPKSB), a subsidiary of EPIC Berhad, continues to strengthen its reputation as a trusted port management service provider after being recognised by SIRIM Berhad for its commitment and achievements in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS).

In 2023, KPKSB received was recognised by SIRIM for its ISO 9001:2015 certification. This year, the company maintained its momentum of excellence by earning yet another recognition, this time for its ISO 45001:2018 certification.

The recognition was presented at the “Majlis SIRIM Industri 2025”, officiated by Deputy Prime Minister, YAB Datuk Amar Haji Fadillah Yusof, at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur. Representing KPKSB on stage to receive the recognition from Acting President and Group Chief Executive Officer of SIRIM Berhad, Tuan Nik Sazali Nik Hussin, was Group Chief Executive Officer of EPIC Berhad, Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili.

Also in attendance were Group Chief Financial Officer of EPIC Berhad, Encik Wan Mohd Azilah Wan Abdullah; General Manager of Port Management and Marine Services, Capt. Mohd Kamarul Mamat; and KPKSB Head of Company, Encik Sazaril Amir Sabri.

This accomplishment reflects KPKSB’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its safety culture across all levels of operations, uphold international standards, and drive continuous improvement to ensure a safe, healthy, and productive working environment. EPIC Berhad and KPKSB, especially now with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications in place, remain steadfast in their commitment to sustaining safety excellence as a core principle in their port and logistics operations.
