EPIC Berhad celebrated yet another remarkable achievement last night, securing three accolades at the HRD Awards 2025 Gala Dinner in recognition of its progressive human capital development initiatives, following its Platinum Award win at the International Malaysia Project Excellence Conference (IMPEC) 2025.

Hosted by the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), the 23rd HRD Awards brought together Malaysia’s leading employers, training providers, and HR professionals to celebrate excellence in human capital development. The event was graced by Ministry of Human Resources Secretary-General, YBhg. Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof, who attended on behalf of Human Resources Minister, YB Tuan Steven Sim Chee Keong.

At the ceremony, EPIC Berhad made history as the first company from the East Coast to receive the “Human Resources Minister Award”, the highest recognition under the Mid-Large Employer Category. The accolade represents a strong endorsement of the Group’s transformation journey and its strategic focus on developing a resilient, capable, and future-ready workforce.

On top of the coveted award received by EPIC Berhad, its subsidiary, Sukma Samudra Sdn Bhd (SSSB), clinched Silver for the “HRD Corp Award” in the East Coast Region SME Category. The recognition highlights SSSB’s dedication to structured workforce development and employee capability building.

Highlighting EPIC Berhad’s leadership in talent development, Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili, was recognised as the runner-up for the “Learning & Development Icon Award”, honouring his leadership in championing workforce development and cultivating a high-performance culture throughout the organisation. Under his guidance, EPIC Berhad has introduced innovative training programmes, mentorship opportunities, and skill-enhancement initiatives that enable employees to develop professionally and adapt to the evolving demands of the industry.

These recognitions at the HRD Awards 2025 build upon EPIC Berhad’s continued success on national platforms. Most recently, the Group’s subsidiary, EPIC OG Sdn Bhd (EOGSB), earned the Platinum Award, the highest distinction, in the Talent Development and Capability Building category at IMPEC 2025, hosted by PETRONAS.
