REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess at least a recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or in related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control within the Oil & Gas industry, including onshore and offshore projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in cost control software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Primavera).
- Familiarity with Oil & Gas project standards, processes, and contractual requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and reporting skills to interface with multidisciplinary teams and management.
- Certification in cost control or project management (e.g., AACE, PMP) is an added advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Monitor and track project costs, identifying variances and providing corrective actions to stay within budget.
- Collaborate with project teams to prepare cost estimates, forecasts, and expenditure reports.
- Analyse and review contracts, purchase orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Conduct regular cost performance reviews and prepare detailed cost analysis reports for stakeholders.
- Liaise with engineers, procurement teams, and finance departments to ensure seamless cost integration.
- Ensure compliance with financial and contractual regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project close-out activities, including cost reconciliation and final reporting.
