With such vigour we began charting our first quarter performance setting the EPIC Group on the right footing. The aim was to improve our performance compared to 2007.

The Group registered earnings of RM33.09 million and posted a RM11.79 million profit before tax (RM8.11 million profit after tax) for the First Quarter of Financial Year 2007. This was followed by an equally impressive Second Quarter results, registering of RM33.86 million and a profit before tax of RM12.39 million (RM8.72 million profit after tax).

For the Third Quarter ended 30 September 2007, the Group posted RM40.07 million revenue and a profit before tax of RM12.64 million (RM0.12 million profit after tax) largely due to the rise in oil and gas exploration activities.

The newly-privatised port operations and the cessation of provisioning for doubtful debts also contributed to this positive performance. This contributed to a nine-month revenue performance of RM107.02 million which comfortably meant we were well on the way to be better the Financial Year 2006 record.

For the full year of Financial Year 2007, we registered a revenue of RM175.74 million compared to RM112.26 million. We could only have achieved this with the sterling efforts of everyone in EPIC Group especially my Management Team.
